Nitrogen powered ice cream

Although this may look like any old ice cream it is in fact made using liquid nitrogen at Chin Chin in Camden market. They have mixers for the creamy liquid and then add the liquid nitrogen to instantly turn it into a very smooth ice cream, complete with theatrical smoke effect.

The toppings are great, with some unusual choices. It’s a bit pricey, but definitely worth a pop if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Artisan du Chocolate

A very thick and very rich hot chocolate from Artisan du Chocolate on Westbourne Grove. The table looks like a giant bar of chocolate, complete with a small bite taken out of a corner.

Heavenly. I felt a bit sickly afterwards though.

Golden Elvis

A random fabric shop on Goldhawk Road has this window display featuring a home-made Elvis. I can’t decide whether they want to show off their lovely golden fabrics, or demonstrate their ability to make a guitar from cardboard. Either way, well done on the sunglasses.

On the opposite window is, bizarrely, snow white.

Palace Walls

Taking photos in Marrakech was tricky as people tended to scowl or demand money. This was furtively snapped while trying to find the entrance into a palace in Marrakech (sadly it was closed).

Ultra Crazy Boys
