Shantou University Temple
I have no idea what this is called, but on the other side of a lake behind Shantou University is this amazing temple. It’s being constructed using traditional techniques, and with donations from the local community. The ornamentation on the roof is all hand-painted porcelain.
Tree man
I don’t know if this is intentional. It even has eyelashes! Seen in Tian Tang park.
Giant flower ball
I think this is one of those things where it’s best not to ask. Seen in Zhong Shan Park, Shantou.
Shantou Beef Satay Noodles
Some very fresh beef noodle variants with Shantou satay sauce.
Sink to nowhere
While looking at some Guava trees I noticed this improbable looking sink. Best not stand too close when washing your hands.
Secret bottle
More fruit. This is a secret bottle of some kind of spirits tucked away next to apples.
Yin Yang Dessert – Tai Ji
This was very tasty and is made from black sesame, and almond, with a sweet crunchy biscuit thing.
Tian Tang Park
This was a really nice park on the edge of Shantou. I think it was recently restored as there were very few people there.
