This is a incredibly picturesque abbey in North Yorkshire, surrounded by an amazing park and countryside. It’s been around in some form since 1132 after having been formed by some expelled monks.
A very welcome sight after a drearily grey winter.

There was a pro-Europe march in London this weekend. My favourite sign is the one held by the boys in the middle picture: free biscuits!
I’ve never eaten here but it seems an interesting place, and is reached by a bridge in a corner of Regent’s Canal near Camden.
There’s something very forlorn about this sign. This was as cold as it got this year – partially mushy water.
It seems painting is more dangerous then you would expect – this person is covered in paint in places that seem unrelated to a seemingly peaceful occupation.
