The Heron Tower is one of the few places in London where you can look down on the Gherkin. It also hosts a pretty snazzy restaurant.
Seen across the road from Maida Vale tube station.
While walking to a bus stop on Gloucester Place I was amazed to see my name (excepting the middle one) on a blue plaque.

Looking out over Millenium Bridge you can see a host of new buildings, including the Walkie Talkie building (the curved one on the right), which has apparently been causing trouble by focussing the sun’s rays and melting cars.
I can’t remember exactly where this is – somewhere around London Bridge – but I liked the lines and angles.

As this occurred on the Thames I’ll claim it involves James Bond in some way. Know one will ever know.
Taking you from Embankment to the South Bank is Hungerford bridge, looking a lot better since it’s renewal in 2000. It’s also a great place to view the river and the sites around it.
