You mention the USSR, and I wonder if you were aware that part of the inspiration for the Orbit Tower was coming from the Russian Tatlin Tower which was never built. Nicely composed photo by the way.

I’ve looked at that tower many times during the Olympics and I cannot make up my mind whether I like it or not. At the very least it’s interesting.
