Gion is an old part of Kyoto and during the day it’s busy with people. At night it’s very quiet and is a nice place to explore.

Itaewon is a fun area of Seoul that is a maze of small roads, dessert shops, tiny bars, and popup food places. It’s also very hilly, so you’ll have plenty of chance to walk off the cakes you’ve just eaten.
