The Notting Hill carnival brought a lot of graffiti, some of it more hopeful than others (the red line just continued on for a bit).

Penguins are a girl’s best friend

Image · August 26, 2012August 2, 2014 · 2 Comments ·

The girl was watching the Notting Hill carnival from the window of a building while the penguin was keeping an eye out for camera happy visitors. I think I was rumbled.

Olympic Stadium

In a shameless ploy to capture some Paralympic traffic here’s… the Olympic Paralympic stadium! This extra-wide photo is made up of three individual photos joined using Hugin, and comes complete with its own matrix-style man-in-the-red-shirt glitch. He looks suspicious. Part of the Olympic park was … Continue reading Olympic Stadium

The volume was cranked up to 11 and the audience was deafening at the Leeds Academy. A fantastic performance by Mr Flowers and band, and I’m so glad I was able to see them at such a small venue.

Orbit tower

Bit of an odd one this. Reminds me of an over-enthusiastic helter skelter designed for export to the USSR.

International Inspiration

Tucked away near the Olympic stadium was an area where children could leave notes and thoughts and attach them to this tunnel, and other areas. It created a nice effect and was fun to browse.
